How to use HootSuite for Twitter

Yesterday an entrepreneur named Bill asked members of Social Mediopolis' social media marketing group on LinkedIn whether he should use 'HootSuite or TweetDeck?'

Last night Jasmine, a rock-star in the making, asked me on Skype 'how can I get Twitter metrics?'

Today I'd like to answer both questions with one answer -- HootSuite.

If you are using Twitter to achieve business goals, you'll benefit by switching to a third party application or app. Of the three major Twitter apps -- TweetDeck, CoTweet and HootSuite -- I prefer HootSuite because it's simple and offers a lot of features. HootSuite makes it easier to use Twitter effectively by allowing you to:

1. Integrate other social media channels like Facebook
2. Schedule tweets for later
3. Display chat history
4. Assign editors
5. Measure clicks.
